My reflections on asana practice….we strive to do asana as best as we can, come as close as possible to our vision of perfect asana. And often get lost in search for perfection, forgetting that perfection is an illusion that does not exist….there is only the journey, only everlasting creation.
Of course when we are in asana we need to adjust our alignment, balance, stretch and contraction of our muscles, to feel our body and be aware of our breath. But often we keep adjusting endlessly until we come out of the posture forgetting that there is more to asana than that.
When we are in asana, after initial adjustments we have to stop our striving for perfection and accept our limitations, find stillness, peace, acceptance, tolerance, compassion and joy. Find the sense of oneness with asana and more….
